Hey,

I’m Emma!

Born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. My hometown, Iron Mountain, is known for it’s beautiful ever changing seasons. Just like our seasons, people are constantly changing and growing. This is why I started Studio Vitalia, I want to be alongside of you during your growing and changing times. Change can be uncomfortable and not familiar, especially when it comes to your lifestyle. My goal and approach with Studio Vitalia is to go at the clients pace and comfortibility.

I first became hooked on this holistic and wellness approach as an athlete in high school. I was always getting sick, tired, or injured as an active athlete and I was over it. It wasn’t until I started changing my eating habits and diet, that I started to notice a difference and I became obsessed ever since. I became stronger in the gym, my endurance improved incredibly, and my overall mood and energy increased. All because of the foods and nutrients I decided to invest into my body. As well as being obsessed with healthy nutritious foods, I fell in love with being a cosmetologist. I started my cosmetology apprenticeship in high school and loved every service I could offer, especially facials. I have been doing my apprenticeship for 2 years now and I am a month away from taking my state boards! Along with my passion for all things wellness and cosmetology, I also love to hike, ride my horses, and read during my down time.

My Approach

Nutritional Therapy Practitioner is a nutritional therapist certified by the NTA to evaluate nutritional needs and make recommendations for dietary changes, as well as helping clients balance body chemistry and achieve optimal wellness. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, we approach food and wellness in a holistic and individual-based way so we can balance and heal all parts of the body. Although we are not able to diagnose or treat symptoms and illnesses like a nutritionist would be able to, we can empower individuals to become knowledgeable about and responsible for their own health.

As an NTP, we strive to address the underlying cause of the illness and not just the symptoms. There are no one-size fits all ratio or cookie cutter meal plan that is perfect for every individual, especially every day of their life. We take in everyday factors that our clients would come across, like work, family, and travel. We practice in creating specialized meal plans where we incorporate nutrient-dense whole foods and even natural supplements (if needed) into your diet. Falling in love with the culinary side can also set you up for a successful lifestyle change! A nice home cooked meal can be so rewarding and healthy, especially when you know the exact ingredients that it was prepared with.
